Ribbon-cuttings are held often throughout the year, but none has drawn quite the crowd as Partnership for Health on Coach Road in Reidsville.
The company is not new to Rockingham County. It has been serving patients with Medicaid since 2004. Having a physical building in the county is new.
Partnership for Health provides case management services to Medicaid patients, both children and adults, according to Claudette Johnson, the organization’s president. She said the organization provides case management services, support for providers and population management. The organization also goes to the hospitals to see patients and makes sure they get out. They also conduct home visits to help them avoid going to the emergency department or being readmitted to the hospital.
“Being physically here in Rockingham County makes us more accessible to our population,” Johnson said.
Johnson said the new building allows the organization to connect more to the community and also gives its patients a place to go.
The office will staff seven employees including two nurses, a social worker, a behavior health case manager, a chronic pain program manager and a psychiatrist. There will be supplemental staff located at their Greensboro location.
The Eden and Reidsville Chambers of Commerce welcomed the organization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Reidsville Mayor James Festerman, Mayor Pro-tem Tom Balsley, Councilman Clark Turner and Councilwoman Sherri Walker were on hand to help with the ceremony.
Festerman cut the ribbon with his granddaughters, Betsy and Maleigh Young.
“It’s a milestone for us,” Johnson said of the ceremony. “It will be a celebration for us in making sure people know we’re here.”
Johnson said practices looking to partner with them can do so by calling (336) 612-1992.
The office is opened Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on holidays. The office is located at 1309 Coach Road in Reidsville.
